“Just because no one else can heal or do your inner work for you, doesn’t mean you can, should, or need to do it alone.” ~Lisa Olivera

Treatments Offered:
My clinical experience and background support my professional and academic practice as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I hope to make a humble contribution to increase access to high-quality psychiatric health services in Wilmington and beyond.
I enjoy teaching at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, and spending time with my fiancé and our three Australian cattle dogs. I strive to be smarter than my dogs; while challenging, it’s a labor of love. We love to travel and always look forward to planning our next adventure.
As a relative newcomer to Trinity Wellness Center, I’m excited to join such a vibrant and innovative team with a holistic approach to care.
I use an individualized and holistic approach in evaluating and managing psychiatric mental health complaints or illness. I utilize both medication and brief therapies to promote a pathway to recovery and wellness. I use evidence-based guidelines and may suggest the use of genetic testing to guide the use of medications. As a board-certified, doctorly prepared psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I believe facilitating mental wellness is both an art and a science, with a good dose of empathy.
