Background

Background

I provide psychiatric care for adolescents (ages 10 and older) and adults treating a wide range of mental health conditions. Before becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I worked as a registered nurse in a variety of healthcare settings, where I developed a deep appreciation for treating the whole person, not just a diagnosis.

I believe effective mental health care goes beyond simply prescribing medication. During each appointment, I take time to understand the whole picture – including lifestyle, sleep, stress, relationships, physical health, therapy, and personal goals – to determine the most appropriate treatment plan.  I take a comprehensive approach by looking at all the factors that may be contributing to symptoms before making treatment recommendations. For some patients, medication plays an important role. For others, education, therapy, lifestyle changes, or a combination of approaches may be the best path forward. When medication is appropriate, I take time to explain the options, discuss risks and benefits, and make decisions together with my patients.

Seeking mental health care can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. I strive to create an environment where patients feel comfortable asking questions and participating in their care. My goal is to ensure every patient feels heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment decisions.

Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood changes, or simply feel like something isn’t right, my goal is to help you develop a personalized plan that supports lasting mental wellness.

“Patients often tell me they appreciate that they feel genuinely listened to. I believe one of the most important parts of psychiatric care is understanding each person’s unique story before recommending treatment. I value education and shared decision-making, taking the time to explain options so patients feel informed and confident about their care. My goal is never to simply prescribe medication, but to help patients find the treatment approach that best fits their needs and supports long-term wellness. I welcome patients who may be unsure whether medication is the right choice and want a thoughtful, individualized evaluation.”
