Lauren Tuma, PMHNP-BC
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
I am a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a strong foundation in hospital-based care, where I developed a deep understanding of how interconnected physical and mental health truly are. My experience in nursing has shaped my belief that lasting wellness requires a comprehensive, whole-person approach. I value health, movement, and balance in my own life, and I bring that same perspective into my clinical work. I recognize that meaningful change can be difficult, and I strive to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where patients feel empowered to grow. My approach integrates evidence-based medication management with skills-focused interventions grounded in cognitive-behavioral principles, with a focus on patient-centered, sustainable improvements in well-being.
Outside of work, I enjoy being outdoors and staying active, including playing volleyball, sailing, paddle boarding, and surfing. I also value spending quality time with my husband and son.
