“As a psychotherapist for more than 25 years, I’ve always considered life a journey. Therefore, I work with clients who are in pain during their journey. Together, the client and I address the various issues that have led to their distress. I consider myself very fortunate to be a psychotherapist — not only am I able to enrich my clients’ lives, but they enrich mine in return.
During the therapeutic process, clients share their lives and teach me about themselves. Because of their trust in the process, we’re able to create an atmosphere of self-acceptance throughout the healing process. I use an eclectic approach to therapy focusing on mind, body and spirit from a holistic perspective. I love being a psychotherapist and enjoy engaging with each and every client I serve.”

I wasn’t able to attend college at the traditional age but still kept my focus on higher education, hoping someday I’d be able to attain it. At age 33 I was accepted at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, PA, where I earned both an associate degree and bachelor’s degree in mental health. Afterwards, I earned a master’s in social work and social research at Bryn Mawr University.
I really enjoyed my education and participating in all the practicum experiences, both graduate and undergraduate. My goal had always been to earn a doctorate in psychology. I attended La Salle University in Philadelphia, where I attained all my education, attended practicums, worked in Manhattan, NY for my internship, and offered my dissertation proposal, which was accepted. Unfortunately, I fell a bit short and wasn’t able to defend my dissertation; however, I received an abundance of education and practical experience, all leading up to my philosophy as a clinician and how to positively impact clients’ lives.
As I noted, I am truly fortunate to be a psychotherapist, and really enjoy my daily interactions with clients. I’ve worked at a variety of places and have worked all levels of care from outpatient care to residential care, and I’m honored daily to hear the issues and help my clients move forward on their journey.
