Background

Background

My work as a therapist revolves around the belief that all people have the inner capacity to heal and change in the context of a supportive environment. I view therapy as the ultimate collaboration; I bring creativity, openness, and warmth to the healing process, and my clients bring their bravery, perseverance, and unique strengths. I love working with people who want to embrace their differences and make their assets work for them.

I have experience helping moms who have ADHD, autism, postpartum anxiety, sensory overload, and stress, to feel like themselves again through coping skills, mindfulness, identity exploration, and support. I’ve worked with children for many years in many capacities as a nanny, RBT, au pair, psychological testing technician, and play therapist, so I can appreciate some of the challenges and rewards of this incredibly vital job. Another client population I enjoy working with are women who have histories of emotional abuse and neglect. It is my pleasure to watch these clients heal, grow in their confidence, and advocate for their right to live a vibrant life.

Although I work with varied client populations, I emphasize holistic health throughout my practice. No matter the presenting problem, my ultimate aim is for clients to have a strong support system, a toolbox of personalized coping skills, and a sense of purpose. I have seen the enormous benefit of these principles in my own life and the lives of the people I work with, and I look forward to helping you as you build your best life.
